Frosty Lane, Annaghmakerrig

Annaghmakerrig is in Co. Monaghan and is home to the Tyrone Guthrie Centre. I wanted to capture the cold frosty day, so plenty of cool blues were used for many of the trees and the shadows. To suggest the warm winter light, I used raw sienna in the sky and a mix of raw and burnt sienna for the sunlit trees. If you would like to paint this subject, download a high quality image here
